The Ring of Fire Aquarium exhibits 12 separate environments from the Pacific Ocean including Japan, Antarctica, the Monterey Peninsula, the Galapagos Islands and Australian Barrier Reefs. The main tank contains fish from the deep Pacific Ocean. Systems are designed to maintain close temperature and humidity control in each of the environments. The aquarium houses one of the few exhibits of Antarctic penguins and at the time of its opening, the only one outside the United States.
