This new 25,000 ft2 three story dormitory building provides housing for approximately 40 students at this co-educational prepatory school. The building is fully sprinklered.

Thieriot Hall houses students in two person apartments. Prefects have private rooms.

There are six faculty apartments which are air conditioned by individual split residential air conditioning systems. Similarly, the "community" meeting room is similarly fully air conditioned. Each student room receives CATV, telephone, and data distribution services.

The building is supplied with central campus steam at 30 psig. Low pressure condensate is returned under pressure to the central plant.

Steam is reduced to 15 psig which is converted to hot water for heating and domestic hot water services. The domestic hot water system is recirculated to minimize waste of water and energy.

Individual rooms are heated by a four-pipe fan coil system, which will permit the School to convert the building to full air conditioning without a disruptive renovation project. The students have control over their individual environments; however the system can be overcalled centrally by a central building management system.

A central ventilation system provides fresh air to each student room under positive pressure. Every toilet room is provided with positive exhaust to remove odors.
