AltieriSeborWieber has a proven track record for the engineering of luxury single-family residences. This house, located in suburban Toronto, totals 14,000 square feet of living area.
The house features both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a 75kVa emergency generator
In addition, the HVAC system was designed to enable the owners to entertain up to 250 people without system overload
AltieriSeborWieber designed a residential chilled water system using conventional single-phase residential air-cooled condensing units coupled to a commercial chiller bundle.
The HVAC systems serving the house are segregated by occupancy. The master bedroom suite is served by an independent system with zones for his and her dressing room spaces, bath areas and the bedroom itself.

The public spaces are similarly segregated with an independent system to serve the oversized kitchen, which is designed for use by caterers as well as the family.
Secondary bedrooms are served by individual 4-pipe fan coils with heating and cooling available every day of the year.
The house was provided with two independent domestic hot water services; one to serve the master suite and the second to serve all the other domestic needs. This was done to assure an adequate supply of hot water for extended showers or for filling the master suite's oversized tub.
The extensive snow melting system was designed to prevent the accumulation of snow from all the paved areas surrounding the house. The system employs propylene glycol and is served from an independent boiler.
