AltieriSeborWieber provided MEP engineering services in connection with the transformation of the Manhattan anchorage vaults for the Queensborough Bridge. New electrical and Con Edison electric and steam services were coordinated from 58th Street.
A new central condenser water system was designed and commissioned to allow connection of air conditioning equipment of the several tenants. It is located above the truck dock which fronts onto First Avenue.
The spaces were entirely sprinklered, without engaging or damaging the Guastavino tile work, which makes up the ceiling or the Guastavino Restaurant shown in the photo to the top.

A new retail space, capped by a glass pavilion, was created by the architects in the plaza to the south of the Bridge approach ramp. The retail space below street level extends for the full dimension of the plaza.
This project one of the many New York City Landmarks which have been entrusted to the firm of AltieriSeborWieber, a firm known for their "light touch" in dealing with MEP systems for important architectural compositions of the past and present.
